Purity Showcase

This month Jolene and I are going to be focusing on the Purity Showcase, which takes place on the 31st October. We decided to create another event for our students as the Purity Birthday Party was so much fun.

We're really excited as the showcase is going to feature lots of amazing pole performers, all of which will have very different styles! We'll be selling tickets very soon so an update will be coming your way.

And congratulations to Jolene and Jason who has their beautiful wedding ceremony last Sunday. To Mr and Mrs Parlour I hope you are having a fantastic and well deserved honeymoon :)

August Poling

I managed my run in 26min 30, I was absolutely exhausted afterwards and I suffered the next day big time as we all celebrated in London with drinks - it was a very late night!!

I spent the next few weeks teaching and poling in my spare time in preperation for the UKAPP Wokingham heat, which took place on the 8th August at Chameleon Nightclub. What a fantastic evening, I was blown away by the talent and found the event so inspiring. It's one thing to watch and think "I could do that", but another to get up there and give it a go so in my eyes everyone did brilliantly that night. One of our advanced students Suzy entered the expert category. I wouldn't have thought it was just her second time performing in public, she was strong and stunning and I hope she enters more competitions.

After the results had been announced and the after party began, me and Jolene had the pleasure of performing. What a blast, I decided on two songs one being Dizzie Rascal Bonkers which went down a treat, and I did go Bonkers too haha! Jolene had a flawless performance to the song Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Joleeeeeene!

July Update

I've been spending the past three months settling into the Twickenham venue on a Tuesday night, and I am now teaching three classes. The girls are doing really well and the classes are so enjoyable for me, the time flies by.

Jolene and I had a mini pole jam last Friday which was a giggle as always and we decided to make up a doubles routine to the Beastie Boys - Intergalactic, it had a wicked beat. Jolene's posted it on her blog, take a look.

I'm taking part in a 5k race tonight in London through my full time job so have been practicing hard to beat last year's respectable time of 29:07 - will let you know how I get on :) im hoping for around 26-27mins if im lucky.

Looking forward to the Wokingham UKAPP heat, where one of our students Suzy is competing in the hope of reaching the finals. I have seen Suzy perform before and she's brilliant, I hope she nails the performance and comes through. Jolene and I have been asked to perform at the afterparty which will be my first performance since Pole Divas in November last year, so have been working on my moves and deciding which tunes will be best to dance to.

Purity Pole Rocks

Been way too busy with my Exercise to Music Qualification, so i'm sorry for not writing sooner. The past few months of theory work and gruelling practice have all been geared up to the final practical exam on Sunday in Eastbourne, where I will be assessed and hopefully pass to become a fully qualified ETM instructor. I'll keep you posted on how it goes - Mel is also taking hers on the same day so we have each other for support which has been a huge help. Good luck Mel - i'm sure like me she'll also be relieved when it's over : )

I'm loving my Thursday night classes at the Twickenham venue. I've got two lovely groups of girls at the moment - intermediates followed by beginners. They're all doing really well and nearly all of the intermediate girls can climb to the top of the poles now, which if you've seen them are SOOOO tall, so awesome work ladies!

Lots of things to look forward to, including taking over Tuesday nights at Twickenham and Jolene's Reading Pole Jam on the 18th April where I hope to bust some new moves, ooooh yeah.

Happy poling everyone x
